Gorgeous Godalming

Oh Godalming, you wonderful little historic town. We used to live in Godalming when Jasper was a teeny baby and it will always hold a special place in my heart. It just seems so right that our next shop move is to where I first became a mum – Godalming.

Situated just 4 miles south of Guildford and within an hours commute of London, Godalming is a beautiful bustling market town alongside the River Wey.

With it’s pretty lanes, charming cottages and coolest indie businesses plus the new (best) children’s shop around (that opens this week!) you can find so many great places to eat, drink, shop and be merry!

I’ve compiled a little list of my absolute favourite Godalming gems, so if you’re planning on hot footing it over to me, you can tick these off your list too!

Well & Good

Well & Good is a co-working come studio space in the heart of Godalming. Whether you’re in need of some stylish workspace away from home or fitness classes for all, Well & Good is a lovely spot.

Yard Market

A bit like a real-life colourful Etsy hidden just behind the high-street. Danielle and Laura stock a unique offering of handmade goods from the best UK sellers. They also have a focus on eco friendly and sustainable living and have a great refill station too!

Gails Bakery

Controversial I know. It’s not a cool indie, but their cinnamon buns are what dreams are made of. I used to travel all the way to Farnham (almost 40 mile round trip) for them, so you can imagine my excitement when they recently opened in Godalming.

Little Angels

Now anyone who knows me, or follows me online, knows how much I rate Little Angels – by far the best children’s shoe shop in Surrey. Both my boys have had their first shoes from here and Jasper his school shoes too. Not only are they so knowledgeable, they also have THE BEST eye when it comes to cool shoes.

Wattle & Daub

Wattle & Daub almost needs no introduction. A beautifully stylish home and lifestyle store with an adjoining workshop space. It looks as if you’ve stepped into an interiors magazine but get to touch everything! Gemma hosts amazing creative workshops throughout the year.

Godalming Delights

Get in my belly! Godalming delights is an ice cream parlour come sweetie shop a stone’s throw from the historic Pepperpot. It’s popularity is clear with a queue always out the door. The perfect spot for a sweet treat.

Godalming Food Co.

Known lovingly as ‘The Deli’, Godalming Food Co are a deli, coffee shop which sells lovely cakes and deli delights as well as a great selection of hampers and gifts for the foodie in your life.
